Bond recognised by IFLR1000 for the 5th year in a row

We are excited to share that our partner Robert Steeg passed the Solicitor Qualification Exam (SQE1) with results in the upper quintile for both FLK 1 and FLK2, marking the completion of all the requirements to apply for admission as a solicitor in England and Wales. Robert will soon be qualified to advise on matters of English law to complement his role in our Dutch law banking & finance practice. We are confident that this will help him to even better serve the needs of our clients, especially when advising on cross-border finance transactions as well as ISDA Master Agreements and other English law governed financial derivatives contracts.

This year, the conference organised by the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) around its annual general meeting takes place in Amsterdam from Tuesday 13 until Thursday 15 May. Robert Steeg will join the conference on behalf of BOND. ISDA is a trade organisation of participants in the international market for Over-The-Counter (OTC) financial derivatives and is well known for its standard framework agreement, the so-called 'ISDA Master Agreement'. An important part of Robert's finance practice consists of advising Dutch and international clients about the legal aspects of interest rate swaps and other financial derivatives, ISDA Master Agreements and other ISDA transaction documentation, often against the background of (leveraged) acquisition or project financing transactions.
