Bond Advocaten recently advised Extens and ING Corporate Investments on the financing of their investment in Medicore.
Extens is acquiring a majority stake in Medicore within its Extens III fund. It is investng in Medicore together with ING Corporate Investments as a local partner, Livingstone Partners and Medicore’s founders who reinvested. The financing for the investment in Medicore was provided by OLB. In addition to term loan facilities to finance the acquisition, the financing package also includes a substantial revolving credit facility for working capital purposes of Medicore. Extens is a Paris based private equity firm and dedicated European software investor for healthcare. With its investment in Medicore, Extens is making its first investment outside France, in line with its European expansion strategy. Medicore is a Netherlands based company, headquartered in Utrecht, and an innovative and fast-growing developer of unique web-based, interoperable electronic patient and client records (EHRs) and data-driven applications for healthcare. ING Corporate Investments is the principal investments business of ING Wholesale Banking, providing a full range of tailor-made minority equity, preference shares and subordinated debt solutions.
