Joannes de Bont
Joannes has been working as an international finance lawyer since 2000. Before co-founding Bond Advocaten in 2018, he spent 10 years at Clifford Chance in Amsterdam and London followed by 8 years at Stibbe, and has been seconded to international banks several times. Due to this experience, Joannes has a thorough understanding of virtually every type of finance transaction as well the internal processes of banks. Joannes is comfortable acting for both banks and borrowers, due to his keen awareness of the interests of both parties. He advises an array of domestic and international companies and banks and other financial institutions.
Joannes focuses on complex transactions such as acquisition finance, asset finance (including property and rolling stock) and project finance. In addition, he has extensive knowledge of Dutch security laws.
