Bond advises a debt fund on the development of standard documentation for trade and commodity finance and pre-export finance transactions

The debt fund is part of a London-based fintech organisation with a focus on the continental European and Eastern European markets, with branch offices in various European capitals.

With this debt fund, the fintech organisation is able to offer its clients access to finance for trade & commodity and pre-export finance transactions. The fintech organisation thereby meets the increasing demand from its existing clients for fast and competitively priced loans and broadens its product range.

Bond was the lead advisor on and developer of the standard contract documentation for trade & commodity and pre-export finance transactions. In doing so, Bond worked closely with specialist lawyers from various jurisdictions.

Bond has advised ING and Rabobank on the contract documentation and all other legal aspects of the interest rate swaps in relation to the financing of the geothermal project HVC Aardwarmte Maasdijk and Warmte Netwerk Westland. This is the largest Dutch geothermal project so far. This project will contribute 45 MWth – 60 MWth to the sustainable heat supply for approximately 80 growers, which occupies a large portion of the southwest part of Westland. This is comparable to the heat demand of 50,000 households. With geothermal energy as a sustainable heat source for cultivators and households, the geothermal energy sector contributes to the reduction of CO2 emission in the Netherlands as agreed in the Climate Deal.
